Map: See U.S. Colleges Where Students Enjoy Warm Weather

Students who want to feel the heat all year long have plenty of options when it comes to pursuing higher education.
Many colleges are located in areas where the average annual temperature is in the 60s or 70s – ideal locations for year-round outdoor activities.
Among them are schools in Southern California, including the University of California—Los Angeles and the University of San Diego. These schools are located in areas where the average annual temperature is in the low- to mid-60s, according to data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Students interested in attending a college where they can get away with wearing sandals for most of the year can use the below interactive map to see a selection of the higher education options available.
Twenty National Universities – institutions that offer undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs – located in areas where the average annual temperature is in the 60s or 70s, based on NOAA data, were selected to be featured on the map.
